Individuals that meet with the minimum requirements and the degree of experience and expertise required , are invited to apply for this position.

Contract senior level position in the mining sector in the Dem. Rep. of the Congo.

Salary around US$140 000 per annum (tax free) plus benefits.

Position reports to: General Manager Mining

This is a single status position. Also a residential position as opposed to a fly-in-fly-out position. Ample leave is provided for with a travelling allowance paid per annum in addition to the annual package specified.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mining
· High level Mining Engineer with more than 12 years experience in operations and projects for UG mine.
· Experience in doing feasibility study and costing projects.
· Financial Analysis
· Knowledge about different mining methods and UG equipments as well as tramming, extraction and pumping systems for UG operations
· Skills in contractor’s administration and rates negotiation for open pit and UG mining activities.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

· Good knowledge in financial analysis for UG Mine Projects
· Ability to deal with Contractors
· Leadership, planning and training abilities to organize and teach the national staff
