Contract senior level position in the mining sector in the Dem Rep of the Congo.

Salary around US$140,000 per annum (tax free) plus benefits.

Position reports to: General Manager Mining

This is a single status position. Also a residential position as opposed to a fly-in-fly-out position. Ample leave is provided for with a travelling allowance paid per annum in addition to the annual package specified.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mining
• High level Mining Engineer with more than 12 years experience in operations and projects for UG mine.
• Experience in doing feasibility study and costing projects.
• Financial Analysis
• Knowledge about different mining methods and UG equipments as well as tramming, extraction and pumping systems for UG operations
• Skills in contractor’s administration and rates negotiation for open pit and UG mining activities.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Good knowledge in financial analysis for UG Mine Projects
• Ability to deal with Contractors
• Leadership, planning and training abilities to organize and teach the national staff
