Job Description


Responsibilities: Utilizing contacts in industry, government, and academia employ state-of-the-art methodologies and practices in formulating Missile Systems’ (RMS) software product line architecture. The candidate will provide technical leadership in defining the functional and architectural requirements for the product line architecture. The candidate will help develop the architecture to a degree understood by systems engineers and software designers who will instantiate specific instances. The position also requires the candidate to effectively communicate with all stake holders including the developers, management, and the end-users.

Positions at U.S. locations may require citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD.



The ideal candidate will possess


Required Skills:
a) 10 years real-time SW architect experience b) 10 years experience in DoD weapon system development c) Experience in SEI SW Product Line development including support and evolution of SW Product Lines within similar product families, or the equivalent d) Experience in performing SW architecture evaluations (e.g. SEI's ATAM or other similar analysis methods) e) Experience in incorporating architecture definitions in technical proposals


Desired Skills:
a) Recognized expert in the field of system/software architecture b) Familiarity with Systems architectural concepts and frameworks (e.g. DODAF, TOGAF, Zachman Framework, etc) c) Familiarity with architecture definition tools (e.g. Popkin’s System Architect) d) Experience architecting embedded software missile systems e) Practical experience of Missile Guidance, Navigation, Radar and Discrimination systems and associated algorithms is highly desired.
